Wampanoag Tribe - Health Service

The purpose of the Wampanoag Health Service is to provide programs and services that assist tribal members to preserve and enhance their positive health and well-being.

The primary service of the tribal health program is the CHS program. Assistance is provided to tribal members with purchasing quality medical and health care services. Comprehensive health services such as hospital inpatient and outpatient, medical office visits, dental, optometry, pharmaceutical, mental health counseling, and others are obtained through contracting with members' personal health care providers. Eligible members are those whose primary residence is on Martha's Vineyard. Each eligible member must first register with the CHS program before services can be authorized for payment.
