Tribal Youth Programs
Through a grant administered by the Department of Justice, The Human Services Department has been able to develop new programming for the Wampanoag Youth.
Ages 5 to 18
After School Program: for school-aged children - at the Housing Office from 3 to 6 p.m. Extended hours during school vacations. “Turtle Project” - Summer Program.
Mentoring: Through a contract with BB/BS, Tribal youth are matched with Tribal Mentors. (Volunteers are always needed.)
Ages 13 to 20
Wampanoag Teen Group:
The Wampanoag Teen Group meets once a week on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, room 211. The Teen Group has been very active in service projects and increasing their cultural knowledge and awareness.
The Group participates in cultural exchanges and educational trips as well as such activities as dances, concerts and socials for the Wampanoag Youth Community.

The Human Services Staff is always working to expand its services and programs, to better meet the needs of Tribal Members. We are open to your ideas and requests.
We hope that we may be of assistance to you when necessary and that you will take part in the many educational and/or social events that we have planned for each year.
The Human Services Department has an “Open Door Policy” and we look forward to meeting and hearing from Tribal Members. We are available in the Tribal Administration Building, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
