Job Summary: This position shall perform general reception and clerical duties as required by the Administration of the Tribe.
Principal Duties:
Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs and directs them to the proper person and/or office.

Answers all phone calls in an efficient and courteous manner and transfers calls as appropriate.

Labels Tribal photographs and files them in books in chronological order.

Facilities Superintendent
JOB SUMMARY: Maintain on a regular basis the multi-purpose building (interior and exterior) and all its systems, these include: Clivus Multrum and greywater waste recovery system; lighting; heating; ventilating; fire security; and emergency generator.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Performs scheduled maintenance as specified by the Tribal Administrator and owner’s manuals and is available on a 24 hour call basis in case of building emergency.
Responsible for maintaining building security.
Performs most carpentry work.
Performs most basic electrical work.
Performs all special project work.
Performs the following duties daily:
Kitchen floor – sweep and mop.
Restrooms – sweep and mop floors, wipe fixtures, check amount of foam in toilet, spray soap and water mixture inside of the walls of toilets for sanitary reasons, pours bucket of sawdust in each toilet, wipes mirrors and sinks.
Vacuum hallways and administration wing.
Collect trash (rubbish and non-recyclables) – kitchen, bathrooms, perimeter of first and second floors.
Cares for all plant life within and outside of the building.
Performs the following duties weekly:
Trash removal to Gay Head Dump (every Thursday)
Check heat oil levels
Check generator operation and check generator fuel
Clean all light sensors
Cleans tops of light shelves
Clean tops of covers of lamps
Verify correct time clock settings (heating and ventilation)
Clivus Multrum – Clean filters in Greywater tank, re-fill liquid foam tank, take reading on water meter in basement, check condition of composter.
Performs the following duties monthly:
Clean Multi-Purpose room for Tribal Council meetings
Wash transom windows on lower level
Clean outdoor air intakes of leaves, bugs, lint
Clivus Multrum – Take water sample, submit to VEP. Send copy to Aquinnah Board of Health. Keep accurate records on water usage, copies on water reports, amount of liquid and compost extracted from the composter.
Maintains supply list of appropriate cleaning products.
Monitors the use of detergents and other agents that could be harmful to the building, and operates and maintains recycling system.
Change oil and fluids for generator per manufacturer’s recommendations and change fuel filter every three months.
Change and clean ventilation filters every two weeks and change as needed.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED
A minimum of three years maintenance experience
Basic knowledge and skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Ability to operate most maintenance equipment
A valid driver’s license

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION RANGER
JOB SUMMARY: Rangers for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) shall serve as uniformed law enforcement representatives for the Natural Resources Department. They will participate in the development and administration of natural resources management programs; perform inspection of facilities, recreational areas and interpretive displays. Rangers will serve to educate the public of the need to practice conservation, preservation, public safety and good judgment when visiting the Gay Head Cliffs and other areas that will be identified through cooperative agreements with local governments. Rangers will promote good public relations by responding courteously to all visitor and Tribal concerns.
SUPERVISED BY: Natural Resources Director
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervisory duties shall be executed as Team Leaders in special circumstances as directed by the Natural Resources Director.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Works with Program Director to develop procedures and strategies to address natural resource conservation, visitor management and public safety to be implemented through cooperative agreement(s) with local authorities.
Implement visitor management resource protection and enhancement plan(s), communicates information on a variety of matters including points of interest and natural history of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) and the Island of Martha's Vineyard. Able to discuss the low impact recreational skills needed to conserve the Island's natural resources. Shall coordinate with Tribal Land Use Committee/Land Use Commission, Town of Aquinnah, MV Land Bank and other pertinent groups to review any changes/improvements that may be necessary to improve service delivery as directed.
Public Safety: Along with supervisor(s) coordinates efforts with the Town of Aquinnah Police, Emergency Medical Technicians, U.S. Coast Guard, and Search and Rescue organizations. Requires familiarity of applicable regulations; Tribal, federal, Bureau of Indian Affairs, state and local laws in order to recognize and respond appropriately.
Provides conservation services related to; wildlife management, fisheries, aquaculture and forest fire management. Attends training in any/all of these areas. Assists other appropriate natural resources department staff in these duties at the request of Natural Resources Director.
Provide conservation law/law enforcement services to the Tribe, patrol Tribal lands, prevent violations of the law and investigate all violations of Tribal laws on Tribal lands. Provide for the health and safety of Tribal members and the general public by providing protective services abuse prevention and security.
Provides assistance to and coordinates presentations of public safety programs, cultural education, environmental education and other programs designed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Tribal members and the general public, consistent with community policing.
Assists Natural Resources Department staff to gather information for funding new or continuing contracts, grants and related programs as assigned.
Assists Natural Resources Department staff to structure meetings, complete all necessary reports, daily activity, incident reports, time sheets, grant activity summary reports and others as requested in a timely and professional manner.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

The Aquinnah Wampanoag Planning Department seeks a licensed General Contractor to serve as the Construction Supervisor (CS) of the Wampanoag Community Center project. The CS shall provide construction, consulting, scheduling and cost control services.
Requirements:
