WAMPANOAG HEALTH SERVICE DIRECTOR - HEALTH
The Health Service Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the planning and management systems and monitoring the daily operations necessary to efficiently carry out the functions of a comprehensive Health Service Program for all tribal members enrolled in the Indian Health Service designated service area. Serves as liaison between USET tribes and various health agencies in order to insure that the tribe is properly represented and their interests are protected. Administers a budget of over $850,000 annual program grants. The Health Director is responsible for tribal compliance with the Title V Health Service Self-Governance Compact and Annual Funding Agreement (AFA) between Indian Health Service (MS) and the Wampanoag Tribe.
Masters Degree in Public Health, Health Administration or closely related field. Five years’ experience working with health programs, including health planning, management and analysis of health policy issues. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills. Computer application skills to include Excel and Word. Knowledge of applicable local, state, federal regulations.
